Our Story
This all started with a Rover request and a Goldendoodle named Teddy. Back in 2022, I got a message from Nick and Karla, a couple getting married in the mountains of Lyons, Colorado. They asked if I could care for Teddy for the weekend and bring him to their wedding day. I said yes without hesitation—because honestly, it sounded like a dream. But as the weekend unfolded, something clicked.
Everyone had their role. The planner, the florist, the photographer. But no one was fully focused on Teddy’s experience—until I stepped in. I tuned into what he needed, adjusted in real time, and became the one person Nick and Karla didn’t have to think about.

He’s the reason Plus the Pups was born. And he’s the reason we built a service that answers the question so many couples don’t even realize they’re asking: How do I be the kind of dog parent I always am...on the day I want to be fully present with everyone I love? You hire us.

With an instinct for anticipating needs before they’re spoken and a lifelong devotion to dogs, I founded Plus the Pups to bring a new level of intentionality to wedding day pet care.
My role is simple: ensure every four-legged family member is safe, relaxed, and seamlessly woven into the celebration — without adding complexity for the couple, planner, or venue. I bring a calm presence, quiet precision, and the ability to adapt to the rhythm of the day so everything feels effortless from start to finish.
I understand that when a couple chooses to include their dogs, it’s not just about having them present — it’s about ensuring their presence enhances the experience rather than complicating it. That’s why I work in harmony with each vendor, respecting timelines, honoring the couple’s vision, and blending seamlessly into the background while staying ready for every meaningful moment.
For me, it’s never just about showing up for the dogs — it’s about safeguarding the experience, so every moment unfolds exactly as it should.
