It started with a Rover request and a Goldendoodle named Teddy.
In 2022, a couple named Nick and Karla reached out about their wedding weekend in the mountains of Lyons, Colorado. They needed someone to care for their Goldendoodle, Teddy, and bring him to their day. I said yes without hesitation.
As the weekend unfolded, something clicked. Every vendor had a role. The planner. The florist. The photographer. But nobody was fully focused on Teddy's experience. So I stepped in. I tuned into what he needed, adjusted in real time, and became the one thing Nick and Karla didn't have to think about.
That weekend changed everything.
Teddy is the reason Plus the Pups exists. He's also the answer to a question many couples don't realize they're asking yet: how do I show up as the dog parent I always am, on a day I want to be fully present with everyone I love?

The Manifesto
We are not dog sitters. Dog sitters are wonderful for what they do. But what we do has nothing to do with dog sitting. A dog sitter watches your dog in a familiar environment where they already feel safe. We show up on the most emotionally charged day of your life, in an unfamiliar environment, surrounded by crowds, complex emotions, tight timelines, and every single person your dog loves — none of whom can give them their full attention. That is not dog sitting. That requires something entirely different.
That's what Plus the Pups is. We are dedicated wedding dog concierge professionals. We are the steady, grounded presence your dog orients to when everything around them is loud, emotional, and overwhelming. We arrive regulated so we can regulate them. We read the room so your dog doesn't have to. We absorb the energy of the day so it never reaches your dog. And we handle every detail of their wedding day experience, from the moment we arrive to the moment we place their leash back in your hands.
This is not about adding a cute detail. It's about peace of mind. Knowing — completely, fully, without a shadow of doubt — that your dog is safe, happy, and genuinely cared for while you are fully present in the most important moments of your life.

I’m the person your dog will look to when the room gets loud, the timeline shifts, or the energy changes. My role is not just to be present. It is to notice what your dog needs before they have to ask.
I work intuitively and attentively, reading body language, pacing, and subtle shifts throughout the day. That might look like stepping away before overstimulation sets in, finding quiet moments between events, or offering reassurance when emotions run high. It is not about managing your dog. It is about supporting them so they can stay regulated, comfortable, and themselves.
I move quietly within the wedding day, collaborating closely with planners, photographers, and venues so your dog’s care feels seamless. Nothing forced. Nothing rushed. Just thoughtful support that allows everyone else to stay focused on what matters.
I understand how much trust it takes to place your dog in someone else’s care, especially on a day this meaningful. I hold that responsibility with intention and respect. When I’m there, you do not have to wonder how your dog is doing. You already know they are safe, settled, and deeply cared for.
