Our Story
This all started with a Rover request and a Goldendoodle named Teddy. Back in 2022, I got a message from Nick and Karla, a couple getting married in the mountains of Lyons, Colorado. They asked if I could care for Teddy for the weekend and bring him to their wedding day. I said yes without hesitation—because honestly, it sounded like a dream. But as the weekend unfolded, something clicked.
Everyone had their role. The planner, the florist, the photographer. But no one was fully focused on Teddy’s experience—until I stepped in. I tuned into what he needed, adjusted in real time, and became the one person Nick and Karla didn’t have to think about.

He’s the reason Plus the Pups was born. And he’s the reason we built a service that answers the question so many couples don’t even realize they’re asking: How do I be the kind of dog parent I always am...on the day I want to be fully present with everyone I love? You hire us.

Hi! I'm HOLLIE — but you can call me hol.
I’m a dog mom, emotional support human, deep feeler, and (I’ve been told) the person couples—and their dogs—feel instantly at ease around. I built Plus the Pups from a mix of intuition, grit, and a love for dogs so strong it’s basically genetic. If you’ve ever made weekend plans around your dog’s nap schedule...we’re probably the same kind of people.
Most days, you’ll find me either out in nature or reading dog-eared books, snuggling my pups, baking grain-free desserts, or dreaming up the kind of life that keeps us grounded and together. My favorite kind of day? Somewhere remote, no cell service, Koda hunting while Chaco keeps watch. A recipe for a happy soul.
I’m not here to be the center of your wedding day. I’m not even here to make your dog the center of your wedding day (unless that’s what you want). I’m here to make sure they’re happy, safe, and lovingly supported—so you can hit pause on overprotective dog parent duty and fully immerse yourself in one of the most meaningful days of your life.
